Canada Express Entry is the most well-known immigration system that offers Canadian permanent residency, which was introduced by the Federal government in January of 2015 to replace the previous “first come, first served” process.

Why Did Canada Launch Express Entry Program?

From 2015 onwards, two significant changes to the CRS were implemented:

Candidates seeking permanent residency in 347 professions (including Management & Financial Services; Engineering, Information Technology & Sciences; Health Occupations; Skilled Trades, etc. ) that meet the requirements for Entry to the country can make an Expression of Interest profile for consideration to the Canada Express Entry Pool.
The criteria for selection include education, age, language proficiency, and work experience, among other aspects.
The applicants’ profiles on the list are ranked using the comprehensive ranking system, which measures the contribution of their human capital to Canada.

Canadian employers unable to access Canadians to hire are urged to offer a job to the candidates they wish to hire through the Express Entry Pool. Candidates who have provincial nominations receive the highest number of points (600), as do those who are offered managerial positions (National Occupation Classification, 00), receive 200 points, and candidates with offers from other employers (NOC O A, B,) receive 50 points.
The profiles of each candidate will be compared to other candidates from the same pool. Candidates with the highest scores will be assessed to be eligible for the invitation to apply to become Canadian permanent residents.
Candidates who have been invited must submit their complete applications within 60 calendar days. Invitations are given out during regular drawing throughout the entire year.
