The Korean Foundation Scholarship for is offering Scholarships to eligible and outstanding students to study in Japan.

Scholarship for this academic session 2022-2023 is currently ongoing. Scholarship is for both South Korean and North Korean students that are self-financed and in need of assistance and also hold excellent academic records are eligible to participate in the Programme.

Students have access to over 35,000 JPY or 65,000 JPY for Master’s and PhD applicants.

Eligibility Status

The Korean Foundation Scholarship is eligible only for students from South Korea and North Korea.

How to Apply

Log in to the application portal of the University and apply for admission. Students are required to fill and submit the scholarship application form along with the support documents via maul to ilo@edu.k.u-tokyo.ac.jp

Other documents each student is required to submit are:

  • Transcript of your current study
  • Scanned Copy of students ID
  • Scanned Copy of residents card
